Want to grab a suite at CFC this year? You’ve got two ways in: apply for an Event Suite if you’re planning to host a gathering, or enter the Suite Lottery for a shot at one of the larger guest rooms in our regular block.
Both options are limited and pull from our hotel room block. Either way, you’ll need to be registered for the convention before you can claim a suite.
CHOOSE YOUR SUITE
Event Suites
For attendees hosting an event or room gathering.
Event Suites are placed in our event room block (or insulated by the regular block) so noise from gatherings doesn’t bother neighbors. If you’ve got a meet, party, or themed gathering planned, this is the one for you.
- Located in or buffered by the event block
- Selected by application — tell us about your event
- Additional event materials required (PNG/JPG/PDF)
- Open to any registration tier
Lottery Suites
For anyone who just wants the extra space.
Lottery Suites are larger guest rooms (sometimes with multiple rooms — whoa!) in our regular block. You can still host a small gathering, but keep an eye on your noise levels — these aren’t in the event block.
- Located in our regular guest room block
- Selected by random lottery draw
- No event materials needed — just enter
- Open to any registration tier
BEFORE YOU APPLY
A few things you’ll want to take care of first — both forms expect them:
Read the Code of Conduct — Make sure you're familiar with our rules before applying. View the Code of Conduct
Create a ConCat account — You'll need one to register and to receive notifications. reg.capitalfurcon.org
Register for the convention — Any registration tier works, but you must be registered to claim a suite.
Use a Gmail address — A Gmail account is required to fill out either form — this is a spam-filter thing on Google's end, not ours.
SUITE RULES
We negotiated room gatherings into our hotel contract, but the Gaylord still has its own room policy and we’ve got our Code of Conduct on top of that. The rules below apply to both Event Suites and Lottery Suites:
- Gatherings or parties that create excessive noise and disturb other guests are not permitted. (Just be reasonable.)
- Official (convention sponsored or promoted) suite events must conclude by 10pm.
- No cooking devices.
- No smoking or open flames.
- No tampering with Fire Life Safety systems — including smoke detectors, sprinklers, pull stations, and alarm devices.
- No commercial-grade sound equipment in suites. (If your event needs that kind of setup, reach out — we may be able to provide a panel room in the event space instead.)
Convention staff will patrol our block floors at irregular intervals to keep things reasonable and avoid any issues with the hotel. The insulation between rooms is genuinely good and our regular block buffers the event block — this isn’t the Gaylord’s first rodeo with events like ours. As long as everyone’s being reasonable, we’re not expecting any drama.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Applications close June 28 — After that, we review applications and pull lottery winners.
Notifications go out in early July — You'll hear back before our room blocks open to general attendance tiers in late July.
You get a two-week claim window — If you're selected, we'll send the booking links and you'll have two weeks to claim your suite.
@capitalfurcon.org address, sent to whatever email you signed up with on ConCat. If you get something claiming to be from us from anywhere else, it isn’t.
