Capital FurCon is excited to host a traditional fursuit dance competition event alongside District Duels, our take on a battle-style dance tournament!

Our fursuit dance competition is a showcase event where dancers will perform unique choreography to a track of their choosing; thanks to this being a 21+ convention, performances are not confined to PG-13 standards, and full skin coverage will not be required! (Note: tracks with offensive/derogatory material are still not permitted, and sensitive areas must still be covered).

District Duels is a 16-dancer freestyle tournament in which dancers must improvise a routine to a random song and win over a panel of judges in order to advance. As a unique twist, to emulate the atmosphere of freestyling on the street or in the club, our panel will consist of 7 judges chosen directly from the audience via a raffle benefitting our charity! The inaugural theme for District Duels will be “Stars and Skies” to match our convention theme, with a playlist (and other surprises...) inspired by it!

Dancers interested in auditioning for a qualifying spot in our main events may register for preliminaries through the links below. The dancer waiver must be signed in order to participate.
